Born and raised in India, Sonalee has received Classical Kathak & Bharatnatayam training. Once coming to New York, she pursued training in Jazz, Ballet, Tap & Latin Dancing from Broadway Dance Center. She has also learned Contemporary Dancing from the prestigious Alvin Ailey Dance School. Sonalee has fused the versatility of Bollywood with the detail of Jazz & Ballet to fashion a vision that is uniquely hers. Sonalee is:

Not only has Sonalee gained international fame, but she has worked tirelessly in the Indian Community as an advocate of art and culture. Governor Pataki presented her with an award of “Excellency of Art” for her contributions as a Performing Artist in NYC.
She is the Founder of Sonalee Vyas Dance Company, a celebrated dance troupe known for their performances at Bollywood Concerts & Award Shows. This is the first Professional Bollywood Dance Troupe in all of North America!
Sonalee comes from a family of excellent entertainers and artists whose dedication and hard work are well known all over the world. She has made her passion into a career. She is also a Certified Makeup Artist from Empire Beauty School, New York City.
